I can’t find a link, not yet anyway, but Kevin Nolan said the reason Newcastle had such tight togetherness and team spirit was the poker games before and after games, where they woul discuss tactics and strategy in a relaxed atmosphere… Started in the time of Hughton at the start of the Championship campaign and now adopted by Pardew…
