What transpires if I do this in poker?

What happens if I do this in poker?
If there are eg 4 players at the start of the game. After the blinds are played and first round of betting before the flop. Then the flop is dealt and I have to go all in to continue, what happens to my share of the pot? Do I only win the pot from the flop because I can’t bet any more? What happens to the rest of the pot if I win? Or do I win the full pot even if ppl r putting eg hundreds in by the end and I only put say fifty on the flop?

You can only win as much as you put it. If people continue to raise/bet after you go all in, all of that money would go into a side pot where only they can get that money.

Example:
Player A: $ 25
Player B: $ 50
Player C: $ 100
Player D: $ 100

Let’s say that pre-flop, after all the betting, the bet is $ 25. That puts A all-in, and the pot is $ 100. All players are entitled to this.

Let’s say that after the flop, Player B bets another $ 25. This puts him all-in. This would be a side-pot and it would be $ 75 (from B, C, and D). Only those players are entitled to this.

Let’s say that after the turn, Player C bets another $ 25 and D calls him. This would create another side-pot and it would be $ 50 (from C and D). Only they would be entitled to this.

For the first pot ($ 100), since all players are in it, whoever has the best hand will win that money.
For the first side-pot ($ 75), since only B, C, and D, whoever has the best hand from amongst themselves (even if A had a better hand), only B, C, or D can win the money.
For the second side-pot ($ 50), only C or D can win the money regardless if A or B had a better hand. It’s C and D’s money and thus can only be touched by C or D.

In summary, C or D can win all the pots of $ 225.
B can only win, at most, $ 175
A can only win, at most, $ 100
